I got back last week from the second XBIZ Europa Awards and show and I’m already looking forward to next year’s event. Apart from being staged in such a fantastic city, the show itself has immediately become a not-to-be-missed event for producers and performers alike. I really like the team from XBIZ and they do this stuff so well. They’re ever present, and vastly experienced in running these things and always on hand to help or give advice. The show itself had it’s usual informative seminars and talks and I got to attend pretty much everything I’d set out to. So much so, that even though I’d taken a small rig of cameras and lights over with me, I didn’t get to do any shooting this year.

XBIZ had been kind enough to feature an article by myself in the show magazine and across the few days there I had so many people coming up to me and telling me how much they’d enjoyed reading it, which was lovely.

You really do get to meet so many diverse and interesting people from all over the globe, and I always learn such fascinating stuff about my industry.

It’s always good to put a face to some of the names that appear on my social media feeds from time to time and actually get a chance to sit, relax and really get to know these folk.

I also got to fit in a few important meetings and opened up a few possibilities for future business and collaborations.

The Awards show itself on the last night was awesome. They changed the venue from last year and I loved their new choice. A little awkward climbing a million flights of metal stairs in 6” heels but well worth the climb once we got there. So brilliant to see some of the event hosts picking up awards, and although this site didn’t manage to win in its category, it was wonderful to see stablemates Andy & Pascal win the award for the consistently fantastic Pascal’s SubSluts again. Thank you again to Laurel for finding a space for us at her VIP sponsor’s table!

So thank you XBIZ, and bye bye Berlin. I had a blast, and I will definitely be back next year hoping to finally snag myself an XBIZ Award to add to my collection!
